A gender gap has resulted in fewer women’s health inventions, but it’s narrowing

“‘Fewer women hold biomedical patents, which has resulted in a smaller number of patented technologies designed to address problems affecting women,’ authors of a new study, published in the journal Science, concluded.”

That might not sound like a big deal, but when you consider that this has led to “thousands of missing inventions aimed at addressing women’s health.”

And when you then consider that those ‘missing inventions’ could target breast cancer, and postpartum issues?

It makes the argument to empower women and girls to go into STEAM.
